Spring break has finally arrived! A very much needed break from school and work calls for extra time with family and getting to adventure around the beautiful state of Florida. This year we decided to do a Florida Staycation. This week we will be taking our spring break adventures all over the state to visit and see things my family hasn’t done before. Ill be posting what my family does over the break in hope to inspire you to visit some of these places.
Day 1: Visit Tampa
I am combining Saturday and Sunday into one post! They were both in Tampa area. Check out my day by watchin the video below!
What We Did
Kicking off our family staycation, we went shopping at the Tampa Premium Outlets. Nothing like a vacay starting off with some retail therapy! On Sunday, went over to Downtown Tampa and Hyde Park. You already know how much I love Hyde Park and can read about it HERE! We got to see in action the Hillsborough River being dyed green for St. Patty’s day. Various vendors were set up in the park serving food and drinks. It was fun to walk around and see everyone in the spirit. I even got a picture with two leprechauns! On the street that we parked on was also the City of Tampa mural. Great photo op!
After the outlets we were all starving. In the mood for “shrimp tacos” as my mom said we went to Capital Tacos. Collectively we all agreed it was about a 3.5 stars. Desert was yummy though! I have been there once before but really wanted my family to try it. Wonder Waffle is this cute little stop that has waffles with fruit. It is scrumptious. They even write your name on the plate in chocolate with a heart!
Overall it was two beautiful days. I loved getting to see the river turn green Downtown and I always love a good shopping spree. A haul will be coming soon!
