Where to even begin. This book was a whopping five stars! I loved every second of it and it totally lived up to the hype. Keep reading for a book review of The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood.
The Love Hypothesis
A frazzled Ph.D. student who’s lost all hope on love paired with a young, handsome, smart ass of a professor. The Love Hypothesis brings these two characters together creating an adorable romance.
Their fake dating love story is so captivating I couldn’t put it down. The banter, the characters, the science based romance… it was everything!
Lets talk about everything I loved about this book! First and foremost, WOMEN IN STEM! Olive, a strong, smart, brave, and independent women as the front and center of a read. I am here for it! Her personality and bubbly self is truly shared and felt through the pages. Olive’s character is just so loveable! Her counterpart, Adam Carlsen is your typical stubborn and grumpy with that extra special soft spot for the girl. That never gets old! It’s so adorable to see their feelings and connection grow into a budding romance.
The fake dating trope… YES YES YES! I mean we all know how it will end, but it also gives us readers time to fall in love with the characters as well. It probably is one of my favorite tropes.
Without a doubt this book could break you out of a reading slump. It was a great page turner, with amazing tension and build up. It followed a consistent story line with a few twists and turns that really added to the books excitement. The light heartedness made me love this book even more. Ali Hazelwood really had me gigglin and cacklin while reading this. Their banter was hilarious, and added that spark of humor that I love.
Overall, this book for me was a definite YES. I would love to read this again for the first time. This is a must read in my book and you should definitely get your hands on it.
