1. Greek Yogurt & Protein Granola
Would you think I am crazy if I said until a few weeks ago I hated yogurt! I used to not be able to stand the texture. In my desire to find healthier snacks I enjoyed adding granola to my yogurt adding that satisfying crunch.
Yogurt is actually amazing for the body! It provides so many great nutrients like calcium, B12, phosphorus, and magnesium. Don’t let me forget to mention that it is a fantastic source of protein! My personal favorite is Chobani Greek Yogurt in the flavor Raspberry. More power to ya if you can have plain yogurt (I am not to that level yet).
Adding the protein granola to your yogurt provides that satisfying crunch that most are always looking for. On top of that, extra protein!!! Me being a vegetarian I definitely do not eat enough protein which is why I use a protein granola but regular granola is just as delicious.
Tip: If you are being calorie conscious make homemade granola or use a small amount (granola racks calories super fast but its delicious).
2. Hard Boiled Eggs
Hard boiled eggs are such an easy go to snack. Once they are made it takes little to no effort to take one out of the fridge and pop it into your mouth! Eggs are packed with protein and are a great low carb snack. Sprinkle with sea salt or everything bagel seasoning to add a little extra spice.
My favorite way of cooking hard boiled eggs is in the Dash Hard Boiled Egg Cooker. Seriously, if you don’t have this little gadget… YOU NEED IT! The ease and low mess makes having hard boiled eggs as an available snack so much easier.
3. Protein Energy Bites
These little things are to die for! Honestly, the perfect little snack to take on the go. A favorite recipe of mine is my Double Chocolate Protein Energy Bites, which you can find the recipe HERE. I love this snack to satisfy my sweet tooth, delicious chocolaty goodness!
Looking for other recipes? There are a plethora of these recipes on Pinterest. To add, they are all super customizable. You can add in whatever your heart desires… chocolate chips, chia seeds, flax seeds, crushed almonds, etc.
Needless to say, these energy bites are a great source of protein. With the base ingredients being oats and peanut butter how could you turn them down! Oats, they are wonderfully heart healthy, filled with protein, fiber, and powerful antioxidants. I 100% recommend trying these out!
4. Tru Fru
Yes, the infamous TikTok trending dessert, Tru Fru. I had to try them after seeing all the hype, but they are totally worth it. How can you turn down delicious chocolate covered fruit! These are a great snack option to satisfy your sweet tooth and take no preparation to make.
A personal favorite, popcorn. Popcorn has always been a go to snack for me. Besides it’s delicious taste, it has some great antioxidants and is full of fiber. On top of that, popcorn is low in fat, sugars, and calories (that is until you add the toppings lol).
Instead of buying bags of popcorn, use traditional popcorn kernels that you pop yourself. The bags of popcorn have tons of added preservatives and additives, plus tons of butter. I know it sounds like a hassle, but I have the perfect gadget for you! Use this snack sized microwave popcorn popper from amazon. It is absolutely amazing! There is no mess and no fuss. Add your popcorn kernels into the popper and microwave for 3 minutes. That’s it! Super simple and easy without all the extra additives and preservatives (bonus: easy to clean)!
If you are looking for some toppings here are some great options…

6. Cucumbers With Cream Cheese & Everything Bagel Seasoning
Do I need to say much more! This snack is sooooo good and it is as simple as it sounds. Take your cucumber and slice it into spears or rounds. Take a small dollop of cream cheese and top with everything bagel seasoning. So yum!
Cucumbers are a great low calorie snack and help aid with hydration. If you don’t like cream cheese, slice some cucumbers, sprinkle a tad of pink Himalayan salt and have at it.
7. Apples & Nut Butter
Apples are delicious and a great source of fiber. The nutrients also help promote good gut health. In addition, nut butters are amazing! Nut butters are a great source of protein and add to the fullness factor. This snack is another one that is super simple, minimal effort, and can work well on the go.
Tip: Many nut butters are super high in calories. My favorite moderate calorie peanut butter recently has been PB Fit.
8. Carrot Fries
You heard that right! Carrot fries are such a scrumptious snack, but they do take a little more effort than the rest of these snack suggestions. To make, slice carrots into sticks and boil until tender. Toss in avocado or extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle on your favorite seasonings. Place them into an air fryer or oven and bake till crunchy. If you love carrots these are a must try! Looking for some extra protein in this snack? Dip them in your favorite hummus!
Now we have all heard that carrots help healthy vision, but carrots seems to have tons of other benefits. Vitamin A that is present in carrots are super beneficial for your skin. Carrots contain a bunch of other benefitting antioxidants as well. They also aid in digestions and cognitive functions. Moral of the story, eat carrots!
9. Protein Bars
Here is another snack that is great for on the go. Certain protein bars are loaded with tons of sugar and other artificial ingredients, so watch out for those when you are choosing your bars.
My personal favorite protein bar is from Barbells. 20 grams of protein, no added sugars, and tastes like candy… SOLD! Seriously, these protein bars are almost to good to be true and are a for sure must try.
10. Protein Cookie
Who doesn’t love cookies, especially when they are healthy. I don’t have a protein cookie recipe available at the moment, but I bet there are plenty of other delicious recipes out there. If you are not looking to bake and want a much simpler option, my brother and I love the Quest Soft & Chewy Cookie. Another snack that’s easy to grab and go and will hit the spot. They are low in sugar and high in protein. Definitely best in moderation!
